Having joined the firm in 1985 as Director of Business Services, Elaine has held various positions with the Assurance group over the past thirty- five years culminating in a buy-out of the Senior Partner in February 2008. Elaine and her team have organically grown and developed all three divisions of the company which includes Contingency Staffing, Direct Hire and Human Resources Consulting. The organization has grown significantly since 1985, which is attributable to the unique Customer Service Program that Elaine spearheaded and developed and consistently implemented over the years.
The program she developed is based upon “Right Staffing” and goes to the heart of the clients increased need over the years to focus on efficiencies in productivity and their dependence upon their contingency personnel providers to partner with them to achieve these goals. The program requires intense visibility and constant interaction with her partners (clients) to achieve not only high levels of productivity throughout their organizations but to do so with low error ratios to improve upon their relationships with their clients. These partnerships are developed by working with C-Suite participants who share vital information regarding the goals of their organization and allow the Assurance group Team to become “acting staff members” of the organization, participating in meetings on all levels designed to provide a true understanding of the day to day operations of the client, to have an in-depth knowledge of the plans and forecasts of the client company and to develop trusting relationships with all members of the clients team. This program has allowed Assurance to develop long term relationships with clients and an ability to participate in and assist with their growth and development.
Elaine is a Past President of the New Jersey Staffing Alliance, a Member of Vistage International and a Board Member of Dimensional Merchandising Incorporated.
Gerald M. Cerza joined The Assurance Group in 1988 after working at Solomon Brothers in NYC. He brought his strong financial background to our Firm and initially served as Director of Finance. In 1998 Gerald became the Chief Financial Officer and in 2008 was the lead in directing and arranging the financing for the transaction to buy out the Senior Partner. Gerald and Elaine are co-managing partners of the Firm.
Gerald graduated from Delbarton School in 1982 then went on to Gettysburg College and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. In 1995 he completed an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Gerald is an active member of the New Jersey Staffing Alliance.
Ankil joined the Assurance Group 21 years ago as a temporary payroll clerk and has been in his current position as Accounting Manager for 15 years. He leads the Accounting and Payroll division and enjoys applying his Accounting experience and knowledge to meet the everyday challenges, the Recruiting and Accounting industry brings. He truly believes everything is possible, you just need the will. His leisure activities include worldwide travel, learning about history, languages, food and wine tasting tours.
Karla came to the Assurance group in 2005 as our Receptionist. After working for and receiving her Accounting Degree she was promoted into our Accounting Department where she continued to increase her knowledge and skills. Karla left us in 2018 for personal reasons but has recently come back to the Assurance family and now holds the title of Accounting Supervisor. Karla lives in Bloomingdale with her husband and 3 sons.
Direct Hire Team
Maria is Certified Personnel Consultant through NAPS (National Association of Personnel Services) since 2008. After graduating a double major (Marketing and Management) at the University of Delaware she joined the ASSURANCE group’s temporary staffing team in 1997. In 1998 moved on to become a Direct Hire Recruiter and assisted in the development of the Direct Hire Division with Elaine Balady. Her client list is very diverse, including clients in manufacturing, medical device, publishing and financial industries. She has experience placing a wide variety of candidates, ranging from top executives to the support staff they need. Relationship building is very important to Maria, many of her clients have been working with her for well over 10 years. She prides herself on her honest approach to only present the top talent to her clients and provide her candidates with the information they need to succeed in an interview.
Kim has been with the ASSURANCE group for over 20 years. She is a recruiter who has an incredible research ability to source and connect with the top talent our clients need. Kim has a great ability to discern exactly what the prospective candidate is looking for in a new opportunity. Her excellent communication skills, clear understanding of specific needs, honesty and persistence are what set her apart. Kim is CPC Certified (Certified Personnel Consultant) which she obtained in 2016. She joined our group with a degree from William Paterson University.
Kathy joined the Assurance group in 2014 with over 20 years of experience in the Staffing and Recruiting Industry. She earned her CPC (Certified Personnel Consultant) certificate in 2016 and currently she specializes in the sourcing and recruiting of technical personnel and sales representatives in the Computer Software and Pharmaceutical industries throughout the United States. Kathy has received numerous awards throughout her career and works hard to understand her clients’ needs. She takes a pragmatic approach with her candidates and clients and prides herself on her solid work ethics and honesty.
Mary joined the Assurance Group in December 2020 after Assurance acquired Bryant Staffing. Previously a Staffing Supervisor at Walker Personnel for more than fifteen years, Mary has been extremely successful in recruiting permanent, temp to hire and temporary personnel. Mary specializes in Medical Staffing of Nurse Practitioners, Surgical Coordinators, Medical Assistants and Medical Receptionists. She is relentless in her efforts to recruit and place medical professionals at all levels.
Temporary Personnel Team
Carla joined the Assurance Group in 1995 as a Staffing Coordinator for the Wharton New Jersey Office. She exceled in her role and never looked back, ultimately becoming the Branch Manager and leading the Team there in managing key accounts for the company. She built a strong base of business and remains dedicated to recruitment and retention of an extensive workforce in the Morris County territory.
I have been working for the Assurance Group in the Temporary Division for a little over 20 years now. As a candidate in search of a work opportunity, I started working for Assurance as a temporary employee and grew into a position where I was doing for others what was done for me. My role has continued to develop and grow into a leadership role in the Maywood Branch Office.
I have been a devoted employee of the Assurance Group for 19 years and counting. I am a proud and doting mother, friend and wife, and am always striving to give 100 percent of myself to my family as well to my job. I believe my strong faith and resilience enabled me to overcome many challenges, and it is the perseverance I gained from my experiences that allow me to help others in their professional endeavors. I truly love what I do at Assurance; I am in a position to help people become gainfully employed every day!
As I go into my third year as a Staffing Coordinator, I find myself evermore grateful and proud to be a part of The Assurance Group team. My journey begins after college: a few short months after graduation, I was fortunate to receive a position with Assurance Group. My degree in Public Health may not be the conventional route for working within staffing services, however, I firmly believe components of my major, overall college experience and prior work background prepared me for this role. To understand all candidates and companies with individuality and tend to each in a professional and attentive manner, is what I routinely strive for.
