Microbiologist

Leading manufacturer of cosmetics is seeking an experienced Microbiologist to perform microbiological testing on raw materials, bulk, DI water and finished goods.  

Essential Functions:

• Adhere to cGMP systems
• Write and Follow SOPs
• To lead and train the Microbiology lab technicians on appropriate procedures
• Maintains inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment for laboratory use.
• Maintains equipment calibration schedule and daily log sheets
• Prepares and performs sample analysis
• Compiles data and prepares reports for review
• Follows GMP record keeping (Good documentation Practices)
• To participate on internal and external investigations that involves the micro lab.
• Operate autoclave for routine sterilization of laboratory supplies and media
• Prepares microbiological medias; broths, and agars including growth promotions
• Perform USP 61/62 testing
• Perform Celsis testing and system suitability
• Perform DI water microbial analysis
• Operates equipment such as: analytical balance, and pH meter, and microscopes and performs daily checks.
• Wash glassware and supplies used in laboratory
