Medical Biller & Coder

Our client, a well-established and growing Orthopedic practice in the Ridgewood area, needs a Medical Biller/Coder. This is not a remote position. In this role you are responsible for preparing and submitting accurate insurance claims to ensure healthcare providers are reimbursed for services rendered.

The Medical Biller/Coder is responsible for the following:

• Review and submit claims to insurance companies
• Review and verify patient insurance information
• Follow up on unpaid claims and denials
• Resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
• Collaborate with other team members to streamline billing processes
• Stay up-to-date on billing regulations and compliance requirements

The Qualifications for a Medical Biller/Coder are:

• Previous experience in medical billing preferred
• claims experience preferred for this department
• Associate Degree in Medical Billing/Coding is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Mod-Med EMR experience a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures

The hours for this position are Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm. Pay range is $28 – $32/per hour depending upon experience as well as a generous benefit package that includes PTO, Health Insurance, 401k and profit sharing.
