Local Freight Dispatcher

Bilingual a plus!!

Our client, a leader in the warehouse and transportation industry, needs a Local Freight Dispatcher. This is a direct hire, full time position based in North Bergen, NJ. To be successful in this role our client needs someone who is highly motivated, has a positive attitude and strong leadership skills.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Dispatcher include but are not limited to:

• Communicate with Customers, Drivers, Vendors via e-mail and phone (it can be heavy phone calls and heavy emailing)
• Inquiries on any issues with orders.
• Interact with trucking companies, drivers, guide them, give them directions.
• Coordinate deliveries/Schedule pick up dates.
• Route and adjust Drivers run (Will be routing orders through our dispatching software)
• Will be following up and tracking orders with clients, drivers, and agents locally (Metro NY,NJ “Tristate Area”)
• Will be helping with any other additional clerical duties and general paperwork assigned by the Department Manager (running reports, spreadsheets, filing, scanning, copies, etc.)

Skills:

• Must be Customer Service oriented/experienced.
• Must have at least 1 year of Trucking/Dispatching experience.
• Must be computer literate, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
• Must be organized and very detail oriented.

Hours for this position are 11 am – 7pm or until work is finished. This position pays $20/hr. plus overtime. Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, PTO paid holidays as well as matching 401K. Interested candidates please send resume.
