Inventory Analyst

Contract packaging manufacturer is seeking an experienced Inventory Analyst to join their team. This position will be responsible for optimizing inventory levels, conducting audits, and analyzing inventory metrics to ensure the efficient and cost effective management of their product inventory (raw materials & finished goods).

The Inventory Analyst will:

• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure timely availability of products.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of the inventory system.
• Analyze and report on inventory metrics including turnover, carrying costs, and excess/obsolete inventory.
• Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to forecast inventory needs.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Identify and recommend improvements to current inventory management processes.
• Assist in the development of inventory budgets and projections.
• Resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement.
• Maintain accurate inventory records including receipts, adjustments, and variances.
• Provide detailed inventory reports to management and other stakeholders.

Requirements for Inventory Analyst:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and databases.
• Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work output.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
