2nd Shift Production Supervisor

Established manufacturer is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to be a hands-on Supervisor who can plan, organize, direct and control activities of the 2nd Production team including Compounding, Encapsulation, Tablet Compression, Blending, Pharmacy and Packaging.  The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Supervise and support production employees in a manufacturing environment: plan and assign work to meet customer demands and on-time shipping requirements, implement policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods and operating procedures
  • Review performance against operating plans, master schedule and standards.
  • Ensure all required documentation is accurate and completed in a timely fashion
  • Fully utilize operating systems for production reporting, capacity planning and analytical functions. Work with systems to enhance and expand system capabilities for production/manufacturing.
  • Develop plans for new areas of expansion and higher levels of efficiency in the manufacturing areas. Enhance and optimize all processes.
  • Coordinate activities of the manufacturing departments with those of other departments. Seeks mutual agreement on problems involving coordination and collaboration.
  • Provides orientation and on the job training for subordinates and ensures that the authority and responsibility for each position is defined and understood.
  • Oversee and enforce compliance with all cGMPs, safety and regulatory requirements.  Develops creative solutions to meet GMPS’s when necessary by using rational.
  • Ensures delivery times are within established expectations.
  • Develops procedures for maximizing production yields.

 

The Production Supervisor will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in or equivalent experience in Production Management
  • Prior responsibility in managing manufacturing operations a plus
  • Well-developed management skills – principles and people.
  • Ability to recruit, train and motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth.
  • Strong conceptual understanding of operating systems and capabilities.

The hours are Monday – Friday 1:30pm – 9:30pm.
