MS DYNAMICS NAV Specialist

 

Major manufacturer and distributer, is embarking on a DYNAMICS NAVISION 2009 ERP implementation project.  They are seeking a Navision programming specialist that can work in conjunction with business leaders, other in-house IT staff and Navision implementation partners to support the data and programming efforts.

 

 Work with Microsoft Dynamics Navision for ERP software development, object modification of tables, forms, reports, data ports and menus as well as software configurations, set-ups and enhancements.

 Knowledgeable in Navision data structure and data loads. Work with business community and assist in data mapping and integration tasks for ERP implementation.

 Knowledgeable in EDI mapping and set-up.

 Knowledgeable of SQL administration preferred.

Experience working with and developing enhancements for several major Navision add-ons, such as Lanham Associates’ E-Ship, EDI, and B2B systems. Support and customize numerous Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) systems at all release levels from 4.x to 6.x (NAV2009)

 Work with most main areas of Dynamics NAV – G/L, Sales and Receivables, Purchases and Payables, and Inventory – as well as Manufacturing, Distribution, EDI, Planning etc.

 Identify and resolve production related errors and issues.

 NAV ERP implementation experience is a plus.

 Participate in design sessions and analysis of requirements to improve business processes and return a development strategy within the Navision framework. Analyze feedback from the business community.

 Develop test strategies and test new functions. Test and document code that has been developed.

 Implement security measures.

 Provide software support for users.

 Position requires excellent problem solving, written and oral communication skills.

Microsoft Dynamics Product Support Specialist

 

Product Support Technical Specialist

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Dynamics product technical implementer and support consultant, which may include supporting Dynamics SL and complimentary products (FRx, Crystal, SL Third Party Products, etc.)
  • Serve as the technical lead in other Client Server network applications for enterprise products supported by the Product Support team.  (CRM, Reporting Tools, etc…)  This includes a proficient knowledge of virtual server and virtual client configurations delivered via Citrix or XenApp.   (VMWare, Hyper V, Citrix/XenApp).
  • Assist in the efforts to resolve and troubleshoot issues, implement and deploy new products, support and maintain existing product versions and assist in custom report writing.

  • Command overall understanding of all business processes and workflows as well as the technology aspects of the applications used to support those processes and workflows.

  • Work with vendor and appropriate internal business unit to create application training materials and coordinate, or provide, end user training as appropriate.
  • Interact with internal clients (business unit users) to provide a high level of customer satisfaction with the application(s) that each group is using.

 

Skills & Educational Requirements:

  • 7+ years business/product related experience
  • Bachelors degree is required
  • Knowledge Dynamics Solomon and Crystal Reports is required
  • Knowledge of SQL programming

LINUX SYSTEMS ADMIN

Position Summary:

The Linux Systems Administrator is responsible for the availability, integrity, recoverability, performance and general application support of UNIX and Linux systems used throughout the organization. The Systems Administrator is defined as being the primary interface and escalation point for communication of system requirements and support as they relate to applications. Additionally, this position will help manage the backup and datacenter infrastructure.

Major Responsibilities:
- Install and configure Red Hat Linux operating system on new servers
- Perform common system administration tasks including but not limited to: adding users, configuring volumes, creating file systems, configuring various system services, configuring software firewall, monitor system health
- Performs or assists in troubleshooting, diagnosing and correcting system and application problems
- Perform or assist in installing new applications – Create and maintain system documentation and logs
- Write and maintain shell scripts to automate system administration tasks
- Perform data center functions including: racking small servers, running cables and configuring KVM.
- Perform off-hours on-call duties as part of a rotating schedule

BI Developer

Summary:

Under the general direction of the Business Intelligence Manager develops new BI services offerings, content creation, value propositions, and technology approach.  The incumbent would be responsible for consulting with internal business users on business needs, translating business needs into analytics/reporting requirements, and interfacing with internal IT staff to ensure successful delivery of business user reporting.  Duties and functions of the position include developing, packaging and delivering new service offerings related to business intelligence. These offerings encompass clearly defined value propositions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design and create SQL reports in a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 environment.
  • Performance and tuning of existing stored procedures and Transact SQL development for in-house applications and automation.
  • Monitor stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues and conduct database transaction audits.
  • Access reporting needs of various departments through investigation, analysis and evaluation to determine the desired results.
